With the support of her doctor Mary Jill decided to try infertility treatments

Mary Jill came to the L-C Acupuncture & Natural Medicine Clinic November 30, 2005 for a consultation, after just recently having an ectopic pregnancy which was terminated.   Since then she has had trouble with her menstrual cycles and is trying to conceive.  Mary Jill has a 3 year old son and she is worried that she will not be able to have another child.    A friend of Mary Jill‘s, Tracey Foster, told her that she conceived after coming to our clinic for infertility treatments.  With the support of her doctor Mary Jill decided to try infertility treatments as well.

On December 1, 2005 Mary Jill began acupuncture, cupping therapy, herbal remedies to regulate and balance the female organs, to regulate and balance her hormone system and to balance the yin and yang in order to prepare the uterus for conception.

Mary Jill continued treatments for the next four months.  During the months of April and May, Mary Jill was not on any herbal remedies, only acupuncture.   On June 6th an ultrasound and blood test confirmed Mary Jill had conceived on May 5th; which was also the only time her husband was at home.  As her husband is employed by the navy he was away quite a bit during that time, he was, however, at home on May 5th the day in which she conceived.  She was very surprised that she actually became pregnant because of his absence.  Initially she thought she was experiencing early menopause, as her periods were so irregular anyway.  On June 6, 2006 Mary Jill had a blood test and ultrasound confirming she was indeed pregnant.

Patient Comment:
I found out I was pregnant June 1, 2006.  My due date is January 30, 2007.  I feel nauseous most of the time and sometimes vomit.  Other than that I feel good, a little anxious though.  I had an ultrasound June 6, 2006 to confirm it was not ectopic.
